The OfficeServ DataView application is the Samsung solution for live monitoring and historical reporting on IP-enabled iDCS and OfficeServ platforms. Providing comprehensive information and statistics, DataView gives call centers increased functionality and greater efficiency. For starters, the DataView interface is Web-based. That means you don't need to load software on each agent's PC, and you don't need to manually configure each desktop. The information is downloaded automatically. Also, the Web-based functionality supports more efficient, more cost-effective licensing. DataView is either enabled or disabled (\"on\" or \"off\") for the entire phone system, so there is no need to purchase license upgrades as you add or remove users. Finally, DataView tracks and reports all calls coming in and going out of the phone system, so agents can perform quality control or even recover sales opportunities lost on abandoned calls.
To identify the registration problems that can arise, we must first understand how the registration of an IP phone takes place using the SIP protocol. Although we are focusing on IP phones, the same can be applied to any SIP endpoint, including SIP clients (softphones), voice gateways, or teleconferencing systems.

The Samsung MP20S is the main processor controlling system operation on the OfficeServ 7200. The MP20S always goes in slot 0 of the cabinet. It MP20S provides a LAN connection, a MISC port (external page, MOH/BGM, loud/common bell), an SIO port (Samsung Maintenance Only), an internal modem slot, and a media card (SD) slot which can accommodate a SD card containing the system software and storage space (52 hours) of voicemail messages and prompts. The MP20S also includes embedded Automated Attendant,Voicemail, and MGI channels (license key required). The MP20S has a connector for mounting a 4SWM card. When the 4SWM card is installed on the processor the LAN connection is provided on the front panel of the MP20S. Additionally, it also has a connector for mounting the optional modem board. This modem board can be used for remote access to system administration at installation that do not have a LAN connection. This is the same modem card used in the other OfficeServ systems. If the 4SWM is installed the switch and LAN is automatically connected by way of the backplane. In addition it may be used as a backup for LAN connectivity.
Other features are available as software based applications on a licensed basis. OfficeServ Communicator is the main UC platform, delivering video, IM, presence and file sharing features. Along with the OfficeServ Softphone, a Windows-based app which turns any laptop or remote desktop into an extension of the IP network, Communicator also enables mobile and remote communications access.
The first things you must eliminate are a faulty phone, handset earpiece, or a headset on a softphone. It sounds obvious, but there are countless stories about call-center agents with broken headphones who report a troubleshooting job and keep several people busy for hours.
This option can be particularly attractive for businesses who have already invested in their Samsung System by licensing SIP/IP extensions, SIP Trunks and more. The ability to bolt another chassis onto their existing system ensures the license investment is not wasted, whilst ensuring the new cabinet can handle the future capacity required. 1e1e36bf2d
