How to Use the Schaudt CSV 300-3 Power Supply Unit for Caravans
The Schaudt CSV 300-3 is a power supply unit designed for permanent installation in caravans. It powers 12 V devices such as fans, submersible pumps and lamps, while the caravan is connected to the 230 V mains. In this article, we will explain how to use the Schaudt CSV 300-3 power supply unit safely and effectively.
Description and Appropriate Use
The Schaudt CSV 300-3 power supply unit consists of a transformer, a rectifier, a filter and a fuse. It converts the 230 V AC input voltage into a stabilized 12 V DC output voltage. The output voltage can be adjusted between 11.5 and 14.5 V by turning a potentiometer on the front panel. The maximum output current is 25 A.
The Schaudt CSV 300-3 power supply unit is suitable for powering 12 V devices with a total power consumption of up to 300 W. It is not suitable for powering devices that require higher voltages or currents, such as inverters, refrigerators or air conditioners. It is also not suitable for charging batteries or for use in vehicles with an on-board battery.
Before using the Schaudt CSV 300-3 power supply unit, please read the instruction manual carefully and follow the safety precautions. Some of the important safety information are:
The electrical connection may only be established by qualified personnel and must be carried out according to the Schaudt installation instructions.
